I officially leave for Spain TOMORROW! And then the next few days are going to be one crazy adventure. Here’s a look at my schedule for the next few months…
1 day: Leave for Spain
(Leaving Pella at 9:00 a.m. I’ll get to Chicago before 3:00 p.m. and leave for
Madrid at 6:30 p.m. We arrive in Madrid at 9:30 a.m. and then take a 1:00 p.m.
train to Sevilla. I will finally arrive in my new hometown at 3:30 pm. where I
will meet my host family and do a little exploring).
3 days: Start
orientation
5 days: Start classes
35 days: My parents
arrive in Spain
64 days: John gets to
Spain
104 days: Leave Spain
to come home. Fly into Sioux Falls.
110 days: Graduate
from college
132 days: Get married
133 days: Leave for
honeymoon
140 days: I can’t wait
to see what adventures come next!
Some of my friends
make fun of me for planning ahead, and as you can tell, I probably deserve it. But with so many
new things coming up in the next few months, it’s hard not to plan and be
EXCITED about all of them! :) My schedule might sound crazy to some, and it
probably is, but I see it as a blessing from God. It’s hard to believe He has
given me so many amazing opportunities in only 5 months. I can’t wait to see
what He all has waiting for me in Spain.
I won’t take my phone
with me to Spain, but they will give me one when I get there. I’m guessing it costs
quite a bit to call overseas, so I think the best way to talk is through
e-mails (jnvnzntn@dordt.edu), facebook, skype, and letters. If you want a pen
pal from Spain, here’s my address:
